Hello, Im Sonia

I decided to specialise in pet portraits after owning a beautiful Golden Retriever, Nellie. I am a full time singer / musician, I enjoy painting in my spare time to explore my artistic nature and to find and capture the character and expression in each animal. Using the mixed medium of Watercolours, Acrylics and Pastels, capture the personality of your furry friends to display and admire. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions, order your loved one a gift to remember. I am located in Doncaster but am able to ship all creations throughout the UK.

What Makes the Perfect Portrait?

Not every photograph of your pet will make the best painting, the better the photograph, the better the result. Below I’ve listed a few tips to help you choose the perfect portrait photo.

  • To ensure the best lighting possible, your photograph should be taken of your pet in daylight, preferably outside.
  • When taking a photograph, get down to your pets level. Never angle your photo down at your pet.
  • The photograph must be of a high quality and in full focus. Do not zoom in when taking your picture.
  • Most importantly, choose a photograph that captures the essence of your pets personality. Character is key.

I’m going to K9 Dog Show!

I will be exhibiting my pet portraits from 11am till 4pm at the K9 Fun dog show on 15th April, looking forward to meeting lots of gorgeous dogs and of course their owners.
